o Find a small or large battery in the camera case. o If you use the larger battery, the battery life by clicking the white circular button on the front (non-grooved) side of the battery. The small circles light up to the level of the battery’s charge. For charging the battery, place it in the Sony charger Charge category (in the camera case), flip the poles charger and connect the charger to a wall outlet. The small circle should light up in a flickering cycle as it begins charging and will stop flashing when fully charged.
o Confirm battery back of the camera having a viewfinder. The blue and white “Recycle” sticker to the top of the camera and the battery needs to get in safely. o Turn the camera on by pressing the green tab on the Power button on the back of the camera and turn the Power button on the off position. o If you have photos, the key to memory. o For video, the button to Camera. o To view video, turn the knob to a VCR.
o If you have a mini-DV Digital Video Cassette (included in the case): o Press the Open / Eject button on the top right side of the camera and move it to you. Pull open the outside panel. o You must wait for the interior cartridge holder pop automatically. o Place the mini-DV tape with the holes facing the direction of the cameras inside and the label. o Press the interior cassette holder (not the outer panel) and wait for the interior sliding holder.
o Close the outside panel. o Remove the lens cap to the photo. o If you take the photo in black and white, use the extendable viewfinder on the top of the camera. o If you take the photo in color or to avoid looking through a viewfinder, press the silver button to open the left rear of the camera and the door of the viewer screen.
