JVC Digital Camcorder Replacement Battery BP-808CL PDF User’s Manual

Step 1: Attach your battery securely to your camcorder.
Step 2: Once your battery is attached to your camcorder, take the cable that comes with your battery, and attach one end into the DC-IN/DC-OUT port on your battery. Connect the other end of this cable to the DC In port on your camcorder. Turn on your camcorder. The LED light on your battery will turn green, meaning your battery is powering your camera, and your camera is ready to use.

Charging Your BP-808CL, BP-815CL, or BP-823CL Battery. If you are charging your battery using the AC adapter that came with your camcorder, simply connect your AC adapter to a power outlet, and then plug your AC adapter directly into the DC- IN/DC-OUT port on your battery. The LED light on your battery will turn orange to show the battery is charging. This light will turn off when the battery is fully charged. Your battery does
not need to be connected to your camera during this charging process. Note: If you are charging your battery using an external battery charger, then no cables need to be connected to your battery. Just connect your battery to your charger securely, plug in your charger, and your battery should charge. Using Your Battery With a Camcorder Dock If you are connecting your camcorder to your computer using a dock, first, make sure your battery is securely connected to your camera. Next connect your camera to your dock. Take the cable that comes with your battery, and attach one end into the DC-IN/DC-OUT port on your battery. Connect the other end of this cable to the DC IN port on your camcorder dock. You can then take the cable that is included with your camcorder dock, and plug one end into the dock, and the other end into one of your computer’s USB ports. Note: Your camcorder does not provide you with the option of simultaneously charging your battery while it is connected to and powering your camera. CAUTION:
1. Never dispose of batteries in fire or water.
2. Never touch the battery terminals with metal objects.
3. Always recharge battery on proper charger.
4. Do not attempt to open battery.
5. Do not drop battery or subject it to strong shocks.
6. Do not use battery at temperatures below -10 degrees celsius (15 F) or above +40 degrees celsius (105 F) (Use of battery at very high temperatures will activate the safety circuit disallowing use. )

TO MAXIMIZE PERFORMANCE:
1. Make sure the battery is fully recharged before use.
2. Clean the battery and terminals with a soft, dry cloth.
3. The battery may be warm during use or recharging. This is normal.
4. Total natural discharge may occur during long storage periods.
5. Remove the battery from charger or powered unit when not in use. Some machines use current even when switched off.
6. When operation has noticealby shortened, battery may need to be replaced.
