Setting Up iPod Touch – Before you can use any of the iPod Touch features, you must use iTunes to set up the iPod Touch. You can also register the iPod Touch and create an iTunes Store account (available in some countries) if you don’t already have one. Registration is free.
1. Download and install the latest version of iTunes from www.apple.com/itunes
2. Connect the iPod Touch to a USB port on your computer using the USB cable provided in the product
packaging.
3. The iPod Touch should power on and iTunes open with a Welcome to Your New iPod screen.
4. To register you iPod at a later time, click Register Later and skip to step #8.
5. To register your iPod now, click Continue.
6. To register your iPod, you must have an Apple ID.
a. If you already have an Apple ID, select Use my Apple ID to register my iPod
i. Type in your Apple ID and Password and click Continue.
ii. Type in the information requested and click Submit.
b. If you do not have an Apple ID, select I do not have an Apple ID.
i. Select Country and then click Continue.
ii. Type in the information requested and then click Submit.
7. Your iPod Touch is now registered to you.
