Flat Panel Monitor TFT has a thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD). The screen has the following characteristics:

Guidelines for safety and maintenance
Power cable is included in the monitor. If another cord is used, only a power source and connection appropriate for this monitor. For more information on the power cord for use with the monitor, see the power cord from the requirements in Appendix C.

To improve the efficiency and extending the life of your monitor:
* Do not open your monitor cabinet or attempt to repair the product yourself. Adjust only those controls that are included in the operating instructions. If your monitor is not working properly or has been dropped or damaged, contact your authorized HP reseller, distributor or service provider.
* Use only a power source and connection appropriate for this monitor, as indicated on the label / back plate of the monitor.
* Make sure that the total amperes rating of the products associated with the contact does not exceed the current rating of the electrical outlet, and the total amps rating of products related to the cable does not exceed the rating of the cable. Look on the power to determine the rating label Ampère (AMPS ‘N or S) for each device.
* Install your monitor near the contact that you can easily reach. Disconnect the monitor by grasping the plug firmly and pull the plug. Never disconnect the monitor by pulling on a rope.
* Turn on your monitor when not in use. Can significantly improve the life of your monitor with the screen saver program on and off the monitor when not in use.
* Slots and holes in the hull are provided for ventilation. These holes should be blocked or covered. Never objects of any kind into cabinet slots or other openings.
* Do not drop your monitor or place it on an unstable surface.
* Do not rely on the power cord. Do not walk on the cord.
* Keep your monitor in a well ventilated area away from excessive light, heat and humidity.
* When removing the screen base should allow the next person on a soft area to prevent get scratched, defaced or broken.

Cleaning the screen
1. Turn off the monitor and computer.
2. Unplug the monitor from the wall outlet.
3. Clean the monitor plastics with a clean cloth dampened with water.
4. Clean the monitor screen with antistatic cleaner.
