RTH230B programmable thermostat can be used to control: • a gas, fuel or electric furnace – 2 or 3 wire • central air conditioner – 2 or 3 wire • A hot water system with or without pump – 2 wires • millivolt system – 2 wires • Central heating and cooling system – 4 or 5 wire Note: These thermostats are not compatible with heat pumps or multi-stage systems.

Characteristics of the cycle RTH230B Honeywell Thermostat: • Mode selection of operating systems: heat, cold, outside fan operation • automatic selection mode or (continuous) • Programmable heating and cooling: 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 minutes • Temperature display in ° F or ° C • replacement indicator Battery • 5-2 programming including: – energy saving preset schedule – Early Start – temporary diversion – Time display ( 12 hours or 24 hours) • Filter replacement indicator

For new installation, choose a location approximately 5 feet (1.5 m) above the ground and an interior wall. Avoid drafty areas (top of the stairs, air intake, etc), patches of dead air (a door), direct sunlight or areas near concealed pipes or chimneys.

You can program up to 4 times per day, each period has its own temperature settings. The same program is repeated every day from Monday to Friday and another program is used for Saturday and Sunday. For each period, you can set the start time, the slogan of heating and cooling setpoint.
