Garmin nuvi 705 Series PDF Quick Manual
Acquiring satellite signals may take several minutes. Bars indicate GPS satellite strength. When one bar is green, nüvi has acquired satellite signals. Now you can choose the destination and navigate to it.
Your route is marked with purple lines. As you travel, your nüvi to your target voice prompts, arrows on a map and directions at the top of the map. If you deviate from the original route, your nüvi recalculates the route and provides new directions. Touch and drag the map to display different areas on the map. Speed limit icon may appear as you travel on main roads.
FM traffic receiver, which is integrated into the vehicle power cable, nuvi is included in some packages. Operation of the receiver and nüvi must be in range of FM broadcasts TMC (Traffic Message Channel) data to receive traffic information.
When calculating the route, nüvi examines the current traffic and automatically optimizes the route for the shortest time. You continue to be routed through the infrastructure, if no other alternative. Is a severe traffic delay occurs on your route during route guidance, nuvi automatically recalculates a route. When you receive information about traffic, traffic icon appears in the upper left corner of the page map. Transportation icon changes color to indicate the seriousness of the traffic situation on the route or road was on the road. Touch the icon to view menu.
