Thank you for choosing Garmin MapSource – the comp late tool for managing your Garmin GPS device. MapSource provides detailed geographic information that you can watch on your computer or load on your GPS device. This guide is designed to get you going. Unlocking Maps
Some MapSource products to be unlocked before you can use the detailed map data. If your product should be unlocked, you will find a piece of paper in the packaging of a product with an Unlock Code or Coupon Code.
The first time you installed a locked MapSource maps, the detected Locked Maps dialog asks you to unlock your maps. You can also unlock your maps from MapSource.
Creating and Editing Waypoints
A waypoint is a point on the graphics card that can store in memory. Waypoints are also known as “My Places” or “favorites” in some GPS units. You can easily waypoints in MapSource and then transfer them to your GPS device. You can load waypoints from your GPS unit into MapSource and then edit.
