Features Guide of iPod Touch PDF Manual

iPod Touch syncs with iTunes on your computer to the songs, movies, TV shows and other content that you have in your iTunes library. If you are on the synchronization, iTunes automatically syncs content from your iTunes library on the iPod touch each time you connect it to your computer. iTunes can sync all your media, or special songs, movies, videos and podcasts.

For example, you could set iTunes to sync selected music playlists, the most recent unwatched film, and the last three episodes of your favorite TV show. If you have iTunes to sync more songs, videos and other content than on the iPod touch, you can use iTunes to automatically delete random content from your iPod Touch To make room, or you can sync and reconfigure your sync settings.

iPod Touch connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi networks. iPod Touch can join AirPort and other Wi-Fi networks at home, at work or at Wi-Fi hotspots around the world. When joined to a Wi-Fi network that is connected to the Internet, iPod Touch connects to the internet automatically when you e-mail, Safari, YouTube, stocks, maps, weather, or the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store. Many Wi-Fi – networks can be used free of charge. Some Wi-Fi networks require a fee.

To join a Wi-Fi network at a hotspot, where charges apply, you can usually open Safari To see a Web page that allows you to sign up for the service. If there are more songs in your iTunes library than on the iPod touch, iTunes asks if you have a special playlist and set it to sync with your iPod touch. Then iTunes randomly fills the playlist. You can add or delete songs from the playlist and sync again.
