This article discusses the advantages of running the 64-bit version of Citrix Presentation Server software for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions on Dell PowerEdge servers.
The limitations of 32-bit technology, particularly its restrictions on the amount of memory that can be directly addressed, can prevent so software from takingfull advantage of powerful multi-core processors. The introduction of 64-bit hardware and software has helped reduce or eliminate these limits, enabling significant scalability and performance benefits. The 64-bit version of Citrix Presentation Server 4 is designed to take advantage of these benefits on multi-core servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions. Java performance HP Integrity NonStop Server Interview PDF
Connection ITUG readers have strong experience in running Java ™ technology-based applications in the NonStop server environment. If they have less than optimal results in the past, they will be very pleasantly surprised by the performance of these applications on the Intel ® Itanium ® 2 processor-based HP Integrity NonStop server. In the following interview, HP Technical
Consultant French Jongma explains why.
Connection: People are not always satisfied with the performance of Java on NonStop systems, saying that the server is too slow. Is this complaint justified? Jongma French: Many of us involved with NonStop customers using Java can be reached on these remarks. Defending against such claims has not been easy in the past.
But with the new HP Integrity NonStop servers based on Intel Itanium technology, things have changed. People who tried Java on NonStop systems one years ago would be surprised if they try again today, the new Itanium-based systems.

An office worker needs to archive a large file and add a training manual to a professional development notebook. First up is the process of archiving a file using WinZip. While WinZip is compressing the large file down to a more manageable 110 MB size, PowerPoint starts printing slides to OneNote 2007 using the “Send To OneNote 2007” virtual printer.
