HP Pavilion zt1000/xz300 Omnibook xt1500 Laptop PDF Service Manual
The notebook has no SDRAM built into its motherboard, but has two slots for PC133 SDRAM modules: a system SDRAM slot beneath the keyboard (containing an SDRAM module installed at the factory), and an expansion slot on the bottom of the unit.
Removal Procedure Unplug the AC adapter, if present, and remove the battery. On the bottom of the HP notebook, loosen the screw holding the SDRAM cover (the cover retains the screws), and remove the cover. Press outward to release the latches at the sides of the SDRAM module (so that the free edge of the module pops up), then pull the module out of the connector.
Reassembly Notes Carefully press the SDRAM module into the connector at an angle of about 30°, until it is fully inserted. Then press down on both sides of the module until the latches snap closed.

HP Pavilion DV6000 Laptop Manual Installation Or Upgrade For Windows 7 PDF Reference
Prior to upgrading or installing Windows 7 in HP Pavilion DV6000 Laptop, backup your important files using Microsoft Backup and Restore Center or Microsoft Windows Easy Transfer. When finished, verify that the backup was successful and that you can access your files. If you want to back up your files using something other than Backup and Restore Center, verify that it is compatible with Windows 7 before choosing it as your backup solution.
Do not use backup software that is incompatible with Windows 7. If you are performing a custom install, make sure you have a copy of your backup software on your USB drive or burn it to a CD/DVD so it can be used later to restore your files.
Check and Upgrade BIOS
1. Turn on the computer and immediately press the F10 key repeatedly until a BIOS Setup Utility screen opens.
