The notebook has no SDRAM built into its motherboard, but has two slots for PC133 SDRAM modules: a system SDRAM slot beneath the keyboard (containing an SDRAM module installed at the factory), and an expansion slot on the bottom of the unit.
Removal Procedure Unplug the AC adapter, if present, and remove the battery. On the bottom of the HP notebook, loosen the screw holding the SDRAM cover (the cover retains the screws), and remove the cover. Press outward to release the latches at the sides of the SDRAM module (so that the free edge of the module pops up), then pull the module out of the connector.
Reassembly Notes Carefully press the SDRAM module into the connector at an angle of about 30°, until it is fully inserted. Then press down on both sides of the module until the latches snap closed.

HP Pavilion DV6000 Laptop Manual Installation Or Upgrade For Windows 7 PDF Reference
Prior to upgrading or installing Windows 7 in HP Pavilion DV6000 Laptop, backup your important files using Microsoft Backup and Restore Center or Microsoft Windows Easy Transfer. When finished, verify that the backup was successful and that you can access your files. If you want to back up your files using something other than Backup and Restore Center, verify that it is compatible with Windows 7 before choosing it as your backup solution.

Using the battery (optional)
The lithium-ion rechargeable battery comes with the HP Deskjet 450CBi printer. It is also available for purchase as an optional accessory (part number C8222A, see HP Supplies and Accessories). Battery safety Use only the C8222A battery with the printer. The lithium-ion rechargeable battery is mercury-free. The battery may require recycling or proper disposal at end-of-life. When discarding a battery, contact your local waste disposal provider regarding local restrictions on the disposal or recycling of batteries. Battery may explode if incorrectly replaced or disposed of in fire. Do not short-circuit. To purchase a replacement battery, contact your local dealer or HP sales office. See HP Supplies and Accessories. To avoid risk of fire, burns, or damage to your battery, do not allow a metal object to touch the battery contacts. Do not disassemble the battery. There are no serviceable parts inside. Handle a damaged or leaking battery with extreme care. If you come in contact with the electrolyte, wash the exposed area with soap and water. If it contacts the eye, flush the eye with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention. Do not expose the battery to storage temperatures above 122°F (50°C) or below 4°F (-20°C).

Using Your Printer on a Network
To share your printer on a network, you must connect the printer to your network using one of the following methods. Before you set up your printer, check that your computer is fully set up, operational, and meets the minimum system requirements listed in “System Requirements” in your HP PhotoSmart P1100 Printer User’s Guide. Your HP PhotoSmart P1100 printer can be shared over a network in three different ways:
• Locally Shared: Share your printer from a network-connected computer by enabling printer sharing on your computer and connecting your printer to the parallel port of the host computer. See “Locally Shared Printer Connection” on page 2 for details.
• Peer-to-Peer: Connect your printer to a network via the parallel port of an HP JetDirect External Print Server. See “Peer-to-Peer Connection” on page 8 and consult your print server documentation for help setting up the print server.
