A document camera (also known as a visualiser) is a camera designed to display documents and 3-D objects on a display device, for example, a monitor or projector. The power of a document camera is in its flexibility – you can point, label, zoom in and out and view objects from different angles by moving them. If you want to see everything that is more than just a computer generated image and a document camera is the tool to use.
A document camera can capture and project any object placed in his field of vision. Examples of objects that can be screened include:
* Pieces of paper
* Pages in a book
Slides *
* Tridimensional objects
* 35 mm slides
* X-ray
* Large objects or a person in a room.
Turning on the document camera Turning on the document camera to show the documents or objects is a two-step process:
Turn on the document camera. The power switch is located in the upper right corner of the document camera. Use this switch to turn thedocument camera. Turn on the projector. View the document camera is controlled by a control system on the touch panel by hand or a remote control.
Using the document camera controls The following controls are available on the front panel of the document camera:

* Contrast – Pressing the contrary increases the contrast of the object displayed. The contrast indicator light turns on to indicate that they are in conflict mode. Use this control to display documents on paper.
* Posi / Nega – press the POSI / NEGA button toggles between the positive (normal) and negative mode (which is like a photographic negative).
