Based on selections that you made when purchasing your computer, your computer has one of several different video controller configurations.
To determine your computer’s video controller configuration:

1 Click Start , and then click Help and Support.
2 Under Pick a Task, click Use Tools to view your computer information and diagnose problems.
3 Under My Computer Information, select Hardware.

From the My Computer Information – Hardware screen, you can view the type of video controller installed in your computer, as well as the other
hardware components, e.g. Dell Inspiron 1525/1526 Laptop

CAMERA INDICATOR — Indicates that the camera is on. Based on configuration selections you made when ordering your computer, your computer may not include a camera.
CAMERA — Built-in camera for video capture, conferencing, and chat. Based on configuration selections you made when ordering your computer, your computer may not include a camera.
DISPLAY LATCH — Keeps the display closed.
DISPLAY — For more information about your display, see “Using the Display” on page39.
POWER BUTTON — Press the power button to turn on the computer or exit a power management mode (see “Configuring Power Management Settings” on page50).

NOTICE: To avoid losing data, turn off your computer by performing a Microsoft® Windows operating system shutdown rather than by pressing the power button. If the computer stops responding, press and hold the power button until the computer turns off completely (may take several seconds).
