Samsung Google Nexus S Android 2.3 Smartphone
Google has today officially launched Android 2.3 gingerbread, the next version of Android operating system for mobile phones and also announced on this blog that the latest version Android 2.3 gingerbread would debut on brand Nexus upcoming Google Samsung’s S-smartphone based on superstar Samsung iPhone killer Android smartphone, the i9000 Galaxy S.
The Nexus S i9020 would hit Best Buy stores in the U.S. from December 16 just in time for the holidays and costs $ 529 unlocked without a service contract. Moreover, two years with a T-Mobile contract, it would retail for $ 199.
The Nexus G Samsung i9020 smartphone is Quad-band GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900 Tri-band HSPA: 900, 2100, 1700 type HSPA: HSDPA [7.2Mbps], HSUPA [5.76Mbps] compliant and is powered by 1 GHz Cortex A8 hummingbird chipset and has 512MB RAM with 16 GB built-in flash memory, but no microSD card slot for additional external memory.
Nexsus S has a 4 inch WVGA 235 ppi [800 x 480] Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen as the new Galaxy and S Contour Samsung’s display with curved glass screen display and anti fingerprint coating.Only 129g in weight, Nexus G also offers Wi-Fi 802.11 n / b / g wireless LAN, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR wireless connection, Near Field Communication [NFC] [explained just below], Assisted GPS [A-GPS] and microUSB 2.0 for wired connections.
Nexus S would be 5 megapixel [2560 × 1920 pixels] camera with added rear LED flash and a front-facing VGA resolution camera for 3G video calling assisted by newly listed Android gingerbread. Users will be able to make calls over the Internet using Voice over IP [VoIP] technology.
The Galaxy Nexus S powered by the latest version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread architecture could also support for Near Field Communications [NFC] hardware, allowing users of mobile payments with a wave of their handset. An internal 3D gyroscope will flip the screen when users turn the phone.
