Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 Rugged Digital Compact Camera
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 unveilsthe today [DMC FT3 in Europe] with robust design and built-in GPS, altimeter, barometer and a compass.
The DMC-TS3 has a 12.1 megapixel CCD sensor, Venus Engine FHD processor, a 28mm wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens, a 4.6x optical zoom and thanks to the newly created Intelligent Resolution technology, the Intelligent Zoom available and extends the zoom 6x equivalent.
The camera has 2.7 inch, 230,000-dot Intelligent LCD with anti-reflective coating and its robust design waterproof to about 12m, shockproof to about 2m, temperatures to 14 degrees F [-10 degrees C] and dustproof . It can record full HD 1920 x 1080 AVCHD video and feature Panasonic 3D Photo Mode.
The camera also has built-in LED flash, SD Memory Card slot and packs additional features like image stabilization, POWER OIS, Face Recognition, Face Detection, AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and Intelligent Exposure.
The integrated GPS function comprises 203 countries, plus over 1 million sites more than 78 countries or regions, giving users the details of where the photos or videos were taken. The LUMIX TS3 will be available in red, orange, silver and blue Mrach, but price was not announced and will be revealed 30 days before the date of dispatch. [via hitechreview]
