If you are using a BlackBerry for the first time ever, the best thing to do is use the Set-up Wizard. (Note: with version 4.5 software or later, you find Setup Wizard in the Setup folder.) The Setup Wizard will guide you through a number of useful things including reducing memory space on your device and copy all your phone numbers from your SIM – card to your contacts.
However, if you have added new contacts to your SIM card or your contacts and want to copy them manually. Unless your SIM switching back and forth between a BlackBerry smartphone and a normal mobile phone, we recommend you contact in your contact list and not the SIM card and back up your files regularly using the BlackBerry Desktop Software that came on a CD with your new device.
A quick way to give and receive PIN numbers to contact for an e-mail to the person you wish to receive the PIN number and in the body of the message type: mypin and press the space bar . Your PIN is automatically filled in the e-mail. Then you can send your contact and ask to do the same and e-mail it to you. Once you have their PIN into an e-mail, all you have to do is turn on the copy and add to their contacts in your address book. Then follow steps 1 through 5 above.
