Apollo Mail User PDF Manual Guide

This guide describes how to use the Apollo Mail application. It is intended for end user applications. It describes how to do different functions available within the mobile application.

This chapter gives you the information you need to get the Apollo Mail application. Includes the following:

* Network access – an explanation of the Apollo Mail network requirements.
* End user license agreement – an explanation of the End User License screen.
* Subscribe to Apollo Mail service – an explanation of how to subscribe to Apollo Mail.
* Creating the first account – the explanation of how you create your first account
* Logging into your mail server – an explanation of the login process.

Network access

Apollo mail requires wireless network access to be able to retrieve and send email. So you require a data plan on your phone (Mobile Browser feature). Apollo Mail when trying to access the network your phone will ask you to allow the application to have access to the network. There are usually three options:

* Yes – will prompt you each time you want to use Apollo Mail.
* No – do not allow the Apollo Mail to access the network, not allow applications to function.
* Always Allow – allows Apollo Mail to access the network and retrieve your e-mail without prompting you for access each time.

End user license agreement

The first time you start the application you are asked to agree to the Apollo Mail end user license agreement located http://bell.apollomail.com before you can start the program. If you do not want to agree to the terms, select ‘No’ to the application and the application will close and exit.

Subscribe to Apollo Mail service

Before you use Apollo Mail need to subscribe to Apollo Mail service. You are asked if you want to subscribe to the service. By doing so, you will have full access to all Apollo Mail features. The monthly service fee is automatically billed to your Bell mobility phone bill.

The time Apollo Mail has the special promotional period, where you are given a free trial period to test the Apollo Mail service. If you downloaded a version of Apollo Mail to a free trial period, you can at any time during the free trail subscribe to Apollo Mail service Subscribe Now by choosing from the main menu.

Creating first account
When creating your first email account you are taken through a number of screens to help you setup Apollo Mail. The first section consists of two steps where you are asked for the following:

* Account Name – this is a friendly name for the account creation within the Apollo Mail. Choose a name that helps you remember that e-mail account is through access using this account (eg Personal e-mail, or e-mail Work)
* Account Type – this is the type of email server you are connecting to. Apollo Mail supports multiple types of mail servers.

Logging in to your mail server

When you create your first account, you have a list of screen, with newly created accounts listed. To login to your mail server simply highlight the account and press the select key on your phone. The menu soft key will bring up a menu that allows you to edit, delete, or create new accounts.
